Want to Change the World? Start by Studying Domestic and International Security

As you look at the world around you, you see dangers that previous generations could not have foreseen—data breeches, violent extremism, terrorism. If you are interested in a career that addresses these challenges, welcome to Bay State College’s Domestic and International Security Concentration in our Criminal Justice department.

This program combines science and humanities courses that help you learn the intricacies of domestic and international security. You’ll study the history of security; the various approaches to security and how these can be adapted to organizations, locations and cultures; cybercrime; white collar crime; counterterrorism; and human rights issues, including genocide and other crimes against humanity. 

Real-life experience

With Bay State’s emphasis on hands-on learning, students are required to complete two criminal justice internships. Students can also take part in real-life criminal justice learning through the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program®, which connects incarcerated students with Bay State College students for a course taught at a local prison.

Further education

Bay State College has a partnership with Salve Regina University in Rhode Island, which means you can easily transition to Salve Regina’s master’s program in Administration of Justice and Homeland Security to further your studies.
