About the Medical Office Administration Program 

The Medical Office Administration program provides a wide range of management and customer service skills as they relate to the smooth and efficient operation of a medical office or specialty practice. This program prepares the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to assume responsibility in a hospital, clinic, medical office, research lab, or public health departments with emphasis placed on medical coding, terminology and procedures as well as general office skills.

Medical Office Administration professionals perform a variety of administrative duties including maintaining patients’ records, filing medical records, handling correspondence, facilitating doctor/patient communication, scheduling appointments, and performing third-party billings.
