Prepare for Tax Season - 1098-T
This notice is to inform you that you can NOW “Opt In” to receive your Federal Tax required 1098-T form electronically through your Student Portal between January 5th – January 26, 2016.
Official 1098-T forms can be retrieved electronically via the student portal after January 31, 2016.
If you DO NOT elect to retrieve your 1098-T electronically, one will be mailed to you. However, paper 1098-T’s will not be mailed until the end of January. To help ensure timely delivery of your 1098-T, we recommend that you elect to “Opt In” and receive your tax form electronically. Once you have “Opted In” you will have access to your 1098T and it will be available for you to print at any time via the student portal.
To receive your 1098-T electronically:
- Log in to the student portal http://my.baystate.edu
- Once on the Student Portal Homepage to the left click on My Finances
- Click on View 1098T
- Click on the top option: I consent to receive the 1098T electronically.
Remember, by acknowledging that you are receiving this form electronically, a hard copy form will not be mailed to you. However you can go to the student portal as often as needed to retrieve a copy.
Notice to Inactive Students
Students who have graduated or no longer an active student at Bay State College the electronic delivery option is not available to you because your student portal access has been discontinued. You will receive your 1098T in the mail. If you have moved recently you will need to officially change your address with the Student Business Center at businesscenter@baystate.edu.
