Roughly 86% of all Bay State College students are commuters. Luckily, Bay State is centrally located in Boston, with access to street parking, the Green and Orange T lines, the Commuter Rail, and various bus stops, all within a 10-minute walk from our campus. Listen to these four students talk about their experiences with commuting, and why it works for them!

Jinalys Rosario-Garcia

Commutes 45-75 min from Dorchester, MA via MBTA 5 days per week

"At the end of the day you get to go home and know your family is there waiting for you. That's what makes commuting worth it to me."

Hannah Richardson

Commutes 35-45 min from Allston, MA via MBTA 2 days per week

"I like commuting because it gives me the freedom to choose where I live and who I live with. I usually spend it responding to work emails or checking my social media."

Abhishek Barot

Commutes 30-40 min from Somerville, MA via MBTA 4 days per week

"Being a commuter student helps me to wake up early in the morning, which is a good habit. It makes me curious to travel to all the places I pass through on the train. Also, I would usually not read books but due to my commute I have developed a habit of reading."

Ingrid Ramos

Commutes 1-2 hours from Pawtucket, RI by car 2 days per week

"I usually drive, but when I do take the train I listen to music while doing homework. I like commuting because I always get to go back to the comfort of my own home."
