Service Learning Trip to London - The Beginning

The Bay State College Service Learning trip to London is in full swing this week.  Our students landed on Saturday and have been checking in with first impressions.

We finally made it to London! It was important to adapt to the time difference right away, so we headed out on a tour immediately and ventured around the city. In the past two days we have seen almost all of London’s significant landmarks such as Big Ben, the London Bridge, The London Tower and the changing of guards at the Buckingham Palace. We have multiple lectures and meetings planned for this week as well as other tours. I’m looking forward to learning more about London’s law enforcement and criminal justice system. - Katherine I

Today is the second day we've been in London, and it's been a great experience. Yesterday we met with our tour guides Lucie, and Alex who showed us around some of the main parts of London. We also watched the changing of the guards, and we looked at some of the main attractions like Westminster Abbey, and more. At dinner today we discussed our upcoming week, which is going to include visiting New Scotland Yard, and Parliament. We are excited to see what the rest of the week has in store for us. - Kenisha C

My classmates and I are very excited to be studying the Criminal Justice System in London. It is with great honor that we are representing Bay State College in every event that we attend. We have only been here for 2 days, and we've already accomplished a lot. I am especially looking forward to working with Women in Prison and listening to the lectures from the University of Roehampton. -Elizanet O
