The Intelligence Investigations class is all smiles after successfully completing their final practice drill in preparation for Bay State’s 4th annual Spy Games (taking place tomorrow) which pits the students against role players in a mock spy catching exercise that spans three square miles of the city.  The student’s work in the field is balanced against intensive classroom study on the history and practice of espionage.

The relevance of this topic area has been especially apparent with the recent spy scandal in Germany and the ousting of the CIA’s Station Chief and top spy.  Although the cold war is over, the necessity of spying on friends and foes remains.  This practice has and continues to raise substantial ethical questions which make it essential for students entering the field of intelligence to have a strong understanding of the issues.
