Here’s what you can expect from the bachelor’s degree program in Criminal Justice at Bay State:  

  • Comprehensive coursework: Classes include Criminal Law, Criminal Investigation and Procedure, Forensics, Sociology of Deviance, Introduction to Ethics, and the Function of Police in Modern Society.
  • In-depth concentrations: Students may choose to focus on Digital Forensics and Cyber Security or Domestic and International Security.  A concentration in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security prepares you to address the threat of cyberattacks and digital crimes, including training in how to prevent attacks and bring perpetrators to justice if they do happen. A concentration in Domestic and International Security positions you to protect communities from intelligence and terrorism threats.
  • Hands-on learning: Our Criminal Justice program requires two internships, ensuring you’ll have plenty of opportunity to apply your classroom learning and test your interest. You may also choose to participate in the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program®, which connects incarcerated students with Bay State College students for a course taught at a local prison. The initiative provides a close look at the criminal justice system and its effects, and has been a transformative experience for many Bay State students.
  • Flexibility: Take classes during the day, in the evening or online. Whether you’re a first-time college student hoping for a dynamic dorm atmosphere or an older student plotting your second career, Bay State College delivers.
