Foodie Adventures Through Boston with Adele
Thanks to Adele for another great guest post documenting her foodie adventures around the city!
In my program at Bay State, there aren’t any other Indonesian students, but the Director of International Student Services for Bay State helped me find an Indonesian church in the Boston area and I’ve made a lot of friends there! I was invited to a Hot Pot restaurant called Kaze in China Town by one of these new friends. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be good at all because up until now, my taste bud haven’t “clicked” with the Chinese food restaurants I’ve eaten at in Boston’s China Town. But, I was wrong! It was good and at $15-25/person, the price is not bad at all.
The meats are fresh and the broth are good. The vegetable offerings were not my favorite, but I loved the fresh meats.
I’m still searching for my favorite new restaurant. When I have the opportunity, I cannot wait to try Shabu-Zen, people have been talking about it! It’s a similar Hot Pot restaurant located in Boston’s Chinatown. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll find my favorite Boston Chinese restaurant there.
Do any of you native Bostonians have any recommendations?
Until next time!
