Evening Division Student Success - Steven F.

“All in” is the perfect way to describe evening division student Steven Fleury’s attitude towards his education.  He may have just completed his associates degree in hospitality, but he’s not done yet! He is currently continuing on in pursuit of his bachelor’s degree.

Having worked full-time as a program coordinator at a local organization dedicated to AIDS research and awareness, Steven was able to bring his experience into the classroom. And while he may not have a strong desire to stay in the healthcare field, his experiences have helped him realize his desire and capacity for a leadership position.

As an evening division student, he has also taken a leadership role among his peers, working with staff to try and launch a branch of Student Government Association specifically for the evening division.

“The best aspect of the evening division is the format,” he says. “I love that the terms are condensed so it’s not only easy to manage, but you can complete a degree quickly.”

So quickly that before he knows it, Steven will be taking the hospitality industry by storm. All in. We’re sure of it.
