Congratulations to YOU
Another year well done for the Bay State community to come together and work hard for our community! For the third year in a row, Bay State has been awarded the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction...!
So what does that mean?
It means that The Honor Roll recognized Bay State College, as well as another 109 colleges and universities, for all their hard work and dedication to developing innovative programs and projects revolving around the community!
At Bay State it's nearly impossible to ignore all the signs, flyers and emails about all the different events that get hosted on a weekly basis: from donations for Rosie's Place to helping out at the local Boys & Girls Club. A lot of these events are hosted for doing a service or donations from various organizations, but none more than our very own Community O's. Over 600 Bay State students willingly volunteered for some sort of service during the year! So all those flyers around campus gathered almost 9,600 hours just from students.
(But let's not forget to include faculty and staff who volunteer and gathered just over 4,500 hours themselves!)
So congratulations to anyone and everyone who's helped the college get named for our third year running with distinction! Not only is this a big deal for the college, but we're doing a lot of good for the community as well.
As John F. Kennedy once said, “One person can make a difference, and everyone should try.”
