Bay State College Finance Graduate Finds Success at Local Company
Back in 2012, Ryan might have been the one posting this alumni feature, as an industrious work study in our marketing department. But today, he’s the one being featured for his success post-graduation.
Ryan is currently working for Fleetmatics, a company that provides GPS services for companies with small fleets of vehicles such as livery services, postal services, etc. We paid a visit to the Waltham, MA office and to our friend Ryan to hear more about this opportunity.
Founded in 2005, Fleetmatics is a relatively young company, and the culture reflects that. Casual attire, cool looking office space, and a great area to relax with colleagues around lunchtime are just some of the benefits of Ryan’s job. But most important, Ryan has co-workers and managers who want him to succeed.
Ryan is a liaison between the Sales and Finance departments. He handles the logistics of the client’s orders, manages the client in the Customer Relationship Management System, and hands the information off to the Finance team.
“I’ve been working for Fleetmatics for just under a year,” says Ryan. “And just the other day my manager reminded me of a goal I set for myself back when I started. He wants to help me get there, and that means a lot.”
