A Bay State College Love Story

At Bay State College, our goal is to make sure students leave here having achieved academic goals and ready to take on their next adventure.  But, with it being Valentine's Day, we have to admit how happy it makes us hearing some of our Bay State College love stories.  We recently caught up with Alberto Vigevani and Susan Rossetti (now Rossetti-Vigevani) who met during orientation at Bay State back in 1988. 

"I remember the first time I saw him," says Susan. "We were on an orientation Boston Harbor cruise, and he was across the boat wearing a jacket with the Italian flag.  I don't know what made me do it, but I yelled to him from a distance, 'Hey, Italia!'.  He gave me the thumbs up, and the rest (as they say) is history."

They started out as classmates and friends, and by January of freshman year they were heading out on their first date.

Alberto and Susan are proud of their deep Italian roots, share the same birthday, and think meeting each other was fate.  17 years later, the couple is still happily married and has two beautiful children. We may not be able to take all the credit, but we're happy to have played a roll in their story!
