Bay State College Students Taking a Break from Giving Back

"Through volunteering at Bay State College, I have learned not only great skills, but I have met great people. I have learned things about myself that I never would have known. Even a small difference can raise awareness for a great cause." - CoryLee Willman, Fashion Merchandising 2011

Community O's

The Community O's are a student led community service organization which promotes student involvement in community service projects at the College and within the community. Projects include campus events, service based learning projects, and mentoring programs.

Through the Community O's, which stands for Community Organizers, the College aims to foster the development of civic-minded students by providing substantive service opportunities through community partnerships based on mutual trust and respect.

Community O’s Annual Cause for 2014-2015

The Community O’s have decided to concentrate their efforts for the 2014-2015 year on the issues surrounding Health and Homelessness.  This is an extension of last year’s theme of homelessness, but narrowed to a more specific focus, to hopefully allow our members to have an even greater impact. We hope to pursue a broad range of opportunities within this effort, from major fundraising events for the American Heart Association to more direct efforts to provide meals to those in need in our own neighborhood. We hope you’ll join us as we learn more about the causes of homelessness and what we can do to improve the health of those around us!
