Private Alternative Loans
Helpful Hints: Financing your Education at Bay State College
As students determine the best way to finance their education, they should consider the full range of student financial aid options available. Private student loans should be explored only after exhausting all other areas of financial assistance. Prior to exploring private loans, we strongly encourage you to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, (FAFSA). The FAFSA is used to determine your eligibility for Federal, State and Institutional scholarships, grants and student loans. Bay State College has experienced Financial Aid Counselors available throughout the duration of your education to assist you in securing the best financial assistance to meet your individual needs.
If you would like to pursue additional funding through private educational loans, the following is a comprehensive list of our participating lenders:
Students may want to consider applying for the Rhode Island Student loan. RISLA also offers a loan to parents of students. To compare your options, please click here. You may also contact RISLA directly.
Students who are residents of Vermont may want to consider applying for the Vermont Student Advantage loan. VSAC also offers loans to parents of students.
These loan options are preferred due to their proven customer service, ease of application and timely delivery of funds. Ultimately the decision is yours and you are free to explore other options if desired.
Bay State College’s commitment to our students does not end when you walk out our doors. Our Financial Aid Counselor’s will always be available to assist you in the future with repayment options and loan management.
