February 1, 2018

Dr. William Koehler, Dean of the Bay State College School of Management, is pleased to announce the opening of Bay State College's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship on Wednesday, February 21st. An Open House will be held between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 PM in the Center at 437 Boylston Street, third floor. The Center is designed to assist anyone interested in starting a business from inception to launching and beyond. Sessions, on the dates announced below, are free to the public.

The Center will be under the direction of Professor Elena Swaim of the Business Department and led by our Innovator-in-Residence Sam Pogosov. Sam earned his MBA from Yale and comes from a background of consulting and entrepreneurship. During business school, he started a profitable food/tech ordering platform in New Haven. Sam was fortunate to study and practice innovation under some of the most influential and legendary innovation thinkers of this generation, Dick Foster (Yale) and Clay Christensen (Harvard Business School). After his tenure at Innosight, a top innovation consulting firm, Sam founded a Mediterranean food concept business in the Boston area. He is currently the founder and CEO of Phinix Grill. Sam now brings his expertise and enthusiasm to Bay State College.

The Center for I & E will meet monthly during this semester. Meetings and additional Open Houses will take place on Wednesday, March 28th and Wednesday, April 25th between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 PM.
