On exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum

Call them kicks, sneakers, or tennis shoes-- if they're on your feet and promote athletic performance, they're the product of a designer's careful concept. They're also part of a multi-billion dollar market with an eager consumer base that is brand loyal and design savvy. For the first time, Bay State College's Fashion Department's FAD 210 CAD (Computer Aided Design) class will be using Adobe Illustrator to draft concepts to explore that niche as shoe designers. The class will jump-start their inspiration with a trip to Peabody Essex Museum to view "Shoes: Pleasure and Pain" on February 16th.
