Bay State College Teams with Xfinity Center on Second Stage Summer Series
July 2, 2019
Bay State College announced a strategic sponsorship with Xfinity Center, a Live Nation venue, for a summer performance series on the "Bay State College Stage."
Six Entertainment Management students will produce and manage a total of 10 shows on the Second Stage at Xfinity Center that showcases the student's talent and benefits the community, local artists and concert-goers. Applying the tools they have learned in class, the students will handle every aspect of the shows, including, but not limited to, booking talent, managing contracts, and facilitating and executing performances.
"This is an incredible opportunity for our students to book, manage and execute shows from start to finish," said Jess White, Chair of Bay State College's Entertainment Management and Audio Production department. "It's one thing to sit in class and learn about the industry, but it's even greater to experience it firsthand."
Bay State College takes pride in inspiring its undergraduates with career-oriented environments that transcend conventional classroom education. The college has become instrumental in seasonal and local internship and employment opportunities with Live Nation and its subsidiaries, with many of its graduates continuing to work within the organization full-time.
The Bay State College Stage will feature an eclectic lineup of artists, announced on Bay State's social media prior to the event. Admissions to the Bay State College Stage will be free to ticket holders attending the concerts.
