Bay State College Physical Therapist Assistant Program Maintains Ultimate Pass Rate of 100% on the National Licensing Exam

BOSTON, MA – March 2, 2017 – Bay State College today announced that its Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program, for the fifth consecutive year, garnered an ultimate passage rate of 100% on the National Licensing Exam. The perfect score represents the high academic standards the College continues to uphold, not to mention the preparedness of its PTA students.
Following graduation and earning their physical therapist assistant degree, PTA license candidates sit for the national board exam administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. The purpose of the exam is to promote safe and competent practice in the field of Physical Therapy (FSBPT, 2017). Upon passing the exam, PTA program graduates are issued a state license which is required to practice as a PTA.
“This perfect score for the fifth consecutive year illustrates just how well-prepared our students are for careers as PTAs”, said Kristen Forget, Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education at Bay State College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program. “We are sending our graduates off with the tools and experience they need to provide quality care. We are extremely proud of our program and more important, our graduates.”
