Bay State College faculty member John Krivit Elected President of the International Audio Engineering Society

Bay State College faculty member John Krivit was recently elected by the 14,000 members of the International Audio Engineering Society to be its new President.  Krivit, who has been teaching audio and music classes at Bay State College since 2005, will serve as AES President in 2015-2016. Founded in the United States in 1948, the AES publishes the peer reviewed Journal of the Audio Engineering Society and holds conventions and conferences throughout Latin America, Asia, Europe, and North America.  Through the AES Technical Council and its subsidiary working groups, the Society is at the forefront of emerging audio technologies.  The AES is continually involved in the creation and maintenance of international standards in the areas of digital and analog audio engineering, communications technology, acoustics, media preservation and creative practice.
