Kathleen Cook, PT, DPT

Dr. Kathleen Cook (PT, DPT) joined the BSC PTA faculty on Nov 1st, 2018 and immediately assumed the position of Academic Coordinator for Clinical Education.

 

Dr. Cook received her PT and DPT from Simmons College in Boston, MA. She has been a physical therapist for 30 years, an ACCE in two other PTA programs for 12 years (since 2006). She has more than 17 years of academic experience in several PTA programs in MI and VA. She has been a consultant for three PTA programs since 2001 and has extensive clinical experience in various settings including Skilled Nursing Facility, Rehabilitation Hospitals, Outpatient Services, Acute Care, Home Care, and Long Term Care in many states including FL, CA, ME, VA, MI.

 

Dr. Cook has been an APTA member for 31 years and has contributed to the PTA Education Special Interest Group for a number of years. She has been an avid rower and served as the head coach for adaptive rowing programs in the community and became a medical classifier for U.S Para-Rowing events for some time. Dr. Cook’s office is located in the PTA suite in 31 St James.
